The Cardinals seemed to have the game in hand in regulation, but Aaron Rodgers had other plans, mounting a near-miraculous last-minute drive that culminated in a game-tying 41-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass to Jeff Janis on the final play of regulation.
Watch Rodgers' desperation heave:
Here's a quarter-by-quarter recap of the game:
Fourth Quarter Rundown
The Packers tied the game at 20-all on the final play of the game on a 41-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to Jeff Janis. Wow! To overtime we go.
Carson Palmer throws another interception to begin the fourth quarter, but Arizona gets it back. Then, with just under 4 minutes left in the game, Carson Palmer marches his team down the field and caps the drive with a 9-yard pass to Michael Floyd for the touchdown that gives Arizona the lead. Cardinals lead the Packers 17-13.
Third Quarter Rundown
The Packers get an interception to kick off the third quarter. We'll see if they can turn that into points. Possible momentum swing here. Eddie Lacy rumbles for 61 yards and puts the Packers in scoring position at the Arizona 8 and then Aaron Rodgers passes for the score. With 5 minutes left in the quarter, Arizona trims the lead to 3 with a field goal. Late in the third, Packers lead 13-10 over the Cardinals.
Second Quarter Rundown
It continues to be a defensive struggle. The Packers failed to score in the first quarter, so they'll try to right the ship and tie things up with the Cardinals here in the second. With just over 11 minutes left in the second quarter, Mason Crosby comes on fir a field goal and punches it through for 3 points. The teams again trade some stalled drives, but with just under a minute remaining, Mason Crosby knocks another field goal through to cut Arizona's lead. Cardinals lead the Packers 7-6 at halftime.
First Quarter Rundown
The Cardinals begin the game with possession, but they go three and out. Green Bay gets it after the punt and they go three and out. Defense showing up early for both teams in the first quarter. Cardinals finally put a solid drive together and score on a highlight catch by Michael Floyd on the 8-yard pass from Carson Palmer. Cardinals lead the Packers 7-0 at the end of the first quarter.
